My research goal is to understand if it’s possible to reconstruct financial services to serve it’s clients better than today assuming that the following hypothesis holds true : smart contracts on distributed ledgers act as disintermediation of trust agents in value exchange systems. Influenced by the structured ideation approach, I decided to start my research by looking for use-cases where value is exchanged and there are intermediaries mitigating trust issues between counter-parties, in order to first deconstruct the value proposition of trust intermediation and later reconstruct financial services meeting and exceeding trust needs but this time in a distributed and de-centralised manner.
