The GRANITE Act, a foreign censorship shield bill to Guarantee Rights Against Novel International Tyranny and Extortion, is up for consideration as an ALEC model bill later this month.

GRANITE started its life right here on this very blog on October 18, 2025. An expanded version, coauthored with Colin Crossman and Rep. Daniel Singh, was later introduced in Wyoming as HB 70 in the 2026 budget session and is currently working its way through the interim study process for reintroduction in 2027.
